One of the best ways to learn about our amazing community is the explore! Join others on a hike to and on Ben Knobb Trail.
Welcome to Pine Mountain Property Owners Association, Inc (PMPOA). We are a community with approximately 100 residents spread over 2500 acres in the southern portion of the South Mountains, in Burke County, North Carolina. Our community borders the South Mountains State Park to the North and Cleveland County, North Carolina Game Lands and the vast Piedmont area to the East and South.
Our mile long front entrance is flanked on both sides by a private community park. The park thrives with native flora & fauna, a duck pond, small streams & creeks and miles of walking paths. A members* only picnic pavilion is available and can be reserved for private events for all members in good standing* (contact office to reserve). Our private community has beautiful forested greenways with miles of hiking trails (beginner to advanced), streams, waterfalls and a breathtaking view at the Lookout (Buzzard's Roost).
Pine Mountain is a registered Firewise Community. Each owner/resident is asked to help keep our community safer in the event of a wildfire. Keeping trees, brush, leaves away from homes & buildings helps make us all safer. A Firewise Information Packet is available along with a time sheet to record the work you do so the community can apply for grant money available. Visit the National Fire Prevention Association's website at NFPA.org to get more safety tips.
